ACM Nominee CAM to Headline Summer Country Jam in Rochelle August 5th

The Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, COUNTRY Financial, and 102.3 The Coyote and Good Time Oldies 1060 welcomes New Female Vocalist of the Year Academy of Country Music Nominee CAM to the Country Financial Summer Country Jam on Saturday, August 5 at the Rochelle Municipal Airport, 1201 W. Gurler Road. A press conference was held at COUNTRY Financial, 519 4th Avenue, Downtown Rochelle.

Opening the show will be Nashville Rising Star Carter Winter. Fitting the part of the man in black, Winter is country music’s modern traditionalist. His raw, honest, and fresh sound behind his guitar and sleeves of tattoos is connecting with audiences all across the country. Inspirations from Garth Brooks and George Strait led Carter to release a second studio album with multi Grammy Award-winning producers Chad Carlson (Taylor Swift) and Mark Bright (Carrie Underwood). Carter has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in country music including Sam Hunt, Chase Rice, and Travis Tritt.

Returning to the Jam Stage is Nashville native Russell Dickerson. With over 20 million streams on Spotify and two million views on YouTube, Dickerson is currently on the road with Thomas Rhett, Kelsea Ballerini, and Ryan Hurd. Dickerson will take a break from his own headlining tour to play Rochelle. His power ballad “Yours” was named the biggest love song of 2016 by Sirius XM’s The Highway. The country music artist recently joined the list of country legends by making his debut at the infamous Grand Ole Opry. Dickerson is recording his next project with new music scheduled to drop in April 2017.

Headlining the COUNTRY Financial Summer Country Jam is Arista Nashville/RCA Records Recording Artist CAM. The multi-nominated artist is on her first headlining tour. The Burning House Tour is named after her biggest hit. CAM’s debut album Untamed burst onto Billboard’s Top Album Chart at #2 and earned best first-week album sales by a debut country artist. Her wide-range artistry is multi-dimensional. The singer/songwriter has been described as powerfully vulnerable (“Burning House”), fierce and defiant (“Runaway Train”), and effervescent and carefree (“My Mistake”). Cam is set to open select dates for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s 2017 Soul2Soul Tour. She too has stood in the legendary circle of the Grand Ole Opry.

COUNTRY Financial is the 2017 Summer Country Jam Presenting Sponsor. Naming rights will belong to COUNTRY Financial in marketing and promotion for the event.

“The Summer Country Jam has become a staple in Rochelle area, and we are proud to be a part of it. Bringing in a headliner like Cam shows the commitment the Rochelle Chamber has to making this event something special”, said Josh Williams, Financial Representative. “We at COUNTRY Financial couldn’t be happier to sponsor this event and help host a good show for our community. Thanks to Peggy and the Rochelle Chamber for including us”, he added.
