One woman is dead and two are seriously injured after a head-on collision in the 2900 block of S. IL Route 2 in Oregon. The Ogle County Sheriff's Office says they responded to the call just before 2pm this afternoon.
Ogle County Sheriff's and Ogle Police say that a southbound vehicle driven by 59-year old Janice Garren from Dixon, crossed the center line and struck a northbound vehicle.
Garren was transported by Life Flight helicopter to Saint Anthony's Hospital for her injuries.
Garren's front seat passenger, a 66-year old woman from Dixon, was transported to KSB Hospital in Dixon by Oregon EMS and later died. Her name has not yet been released.
The northbound vehicle was driven by 56-year old Susan Keller from Oregon. She was transported by mount Morris EMS to KSB Hospital for her injuries. The accident remains under investigation. (Source www.wifr.com)
